Feast of St. Joseph the Worker
We are glad to inform you that the Monastery of St. Joseph continues strengthening itself and growing thanks to the grace of God, to your help and your prayers.
Holy Week and the recent events in the world and in the Church should place ourselves in our guard against the enemies of Christ who are ever more malicious, powerful, trying to destroy whatever remains standing for God. But let us remember that the Cross always shall be the instrument of triumph and conquest. Our Holy Faith shall always be the platform wherein we must go up to fight in Christ and for Christ. Our Holy Hope must be the fortress undefeated of Christ wherein his children at Holy Mother Church must be placed under the protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph. And Charity must be the motor, the fire, the force to bring our souls and those of the whole world closer to God.
Let us not be deceived by the wolves, by publicity, by the illusions, the Works of the devil. Unfortunately nowadays Catholics are slaves of evil due to their lack of love for God; they are slaves of lies due to their lack of love for truth. They do not know the way to Heaven because they love more darkness than the light, they love more themselves than God. They do not possess life in their souls because they prefer the corruption of the flesh, whatever perishes, or whatever is going to die, instead of fulfilling the first commandment of do no preferring nothing to Christ.
Let us pray the whole Rosary at this month of May in honor of our Heavenly Queen and Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary. Let us place ourselves under the arms of St. Joseph in order to have the strength and love for the Blessed Virgin Mary we need.
On the other hand, we share with you some great news: we had the visit of his Excellency Mons. Richard Williamson at the Monastery during Lent, it was a source of plenty of blessings. He gave the sacrament of Confirmation to about 23 persons; also he blessed and encouraged this work we are undertaking, this new Benedictine monastery in honor of St. Joseph.
We have been able to continue and finish some projects. The septic tank, the vegetable garden and the basement are done. But the well and the electricity are not yet finished.
Our next projects for the near future are: to close the cloister, to build the garden for the cloister, and to start building the second floor in order to be able to receive more young men who want to try out their monastic vocation. We are again trusting in your generosity in order to keep growing for the glory and service of God.
The community assure you of their continue prayers for each one of you. Our blessings and deep gratitude are with you.
